MEMBERS PRESENT: Village President Michael Garvey, Village Clerk Brigid Weber, Trustee Edward Cote, Trustee Nicole Gilhooley, Trustee Jennifer Hendricks, Trustee Kathryn Kaluzny, Trustee Kit Ketchmark, and Trustee Julie Narimatsu

REGULAR BUSINESS 

Discussion of the Draft Sustainability Plan 

Assistant Village Manager Stevie Ferrari introduces the draft Sustainability Plan. Bridget Jakubiak, Jennifer Nelson, and Kevin Leodinh from the Conservation Commission present the draft Sustainability Plan. Comments and questions are made by President Garvey and Trustees Cote, Narimatsu, Kaluzny, and Gilhooley. 

Discussion of Case 24-03 Request for a Text Amendment to Chapter 62- Zoning, Section 216 Station Area Use Table to Include “Business Support Service” as a Permitted Use in the SA-2 Neighborhood Mixed-Use District 

Village Planner Kate Portillo introduces the case by discussing zoning districts on the 8400 Block of Brookfield Avenue. Additionally, business support services are defined and show that currently the SA-2 district does not permit this service. Comments and questions are made by President Garvey and Trustee Ketchmark. 

Discussion of Case 24-04 Request for a Special Use Permit to Operate a Commercial Vehicle Repair and Maintenance Business and a Special Use Permit for Accessory Outdoor Storageat 8800 47th Street Village Planner Kate Portillo introduces the case by providing some background information and proposed plans. Comments and questions are made by President Garvey and Trustees Gilhooley. 

Presentation of the 2024 Capital Improvement Projects 

Village Engineer Derek Treichel presents all of the upcoming capital improvement projects in 2024 and upcoming grant opportunities. Comments and questions are made by President Garvey and Trustees Ketchmark, Cote, and Hendricks. 

PUBLIC COMMENT 

Alan Goodcase comments on commissions and the Village of Brookfield. Wyatt Widmer comments on the draft Sustainability Plan. Mayanna Nelson comments on the draft Sustainability Plan.
