Hundreds gathered at the Cicero Community Center for a festive Hearts & Shamrocks celebration featuring breakfast, music, and bingo. Town President Larry Dominick praised seniors’ contributions to building community spirit.
Ana Duffy, a Burr Ridge resident and homeowner, said Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s proposal to override local zoning laws and push subsidized housing into suburban communities across Illinois threatens the careful planning that makes those communities work.
Brookfield will start a major water main improvement project on Maple Avenue beginning March 16. The work includes upgrading infrastructure and maintaining traffic flow while minimizing disruption for residents.
