On Tuesday, March 3, Tavari Johnson, an accomplished alum of Lyons Township High School basketball, appeared in the Akron Zips’ 77-64 victory over the Central Michigan Chippewas.
The 6′0″ senior guard posted 17 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds during his 32 minutes on the court.
Johnson and the Akron Zips next face the Northern Illinois Huskies at home on Friday, March 6, with tipoff set for 5 p.m.
