Construction is set to begin on the 3700 block of Prairie Avenue in Brookfield as part of the Grand Boulevard/Brookfield Streetscape Improvement Project. The work will start on November 5 and is expected to last about two weeks.

The project involves replacing existing light poles, installing lighting conduit, connecting to the current lighting system, and restoring any sidewalk areas that are disturbed during construction. Restoration of affected areas is planned for completion by the end of November.

During construction, parking will not be available on Prairie Avenue between Brookfield Avenue and the midblock alley return. Some parking spaces may become available at night depending on progress. Employees are advised that alternative parking is available on Brookfield Avenue and Burlington Avenue.

Questions regarding employee parking can be directed to Deanne Adasiak with Brookfield Business & Economic Development at dadasiak@brookfieldil.gov.
