Proviso Township Board met Aug. 19
Here are the minutes provided by the board:
1. CALL TO ORDER
The Board of Township Trustees of the Township of Proviso met at the Office of the Township Clerk, 4565 Harrison Street, Hillside, IL 60162, on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.
2. ROLL CALL
Supervisor Corrigan called the meeting to order at 5:31 p.m. and on a roll call
The following responded present: Trustees Olson, Christopher, Chavez, and Supervisor Corrigan. Also present were Assessor Zawaski and Clerk Williams.
Trustee Chase was absent. Attorney Mike Durkin attended remotely.
3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Supervisor Corrigan led the board in the Pledge of Allegiance.
4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Trustee Chavez moved, seconded by Trustee Christopher, that the Board of Trustees approve the minutes of the Township Board Meeting held on August 5, 2025.

5. APPROVAL OF BILLS
Trustee Christopher moved, seconded by Trustee Chavez, that the Board of Trustees approve payment of the bills submitted for August 1, 2025 – August 15, 2025.

6. ATTORNEY’S REPORT

8. OLD BUSINESS
A. Supervisor’s Report – No warrants. Handyman and Springfield reports reviewed.
The senior fair was a great success. There were around 500 people. The staff were amazing! Building work to be done on the outside of the Hillside building, which will include the canopy, and the northwest side of the building. Start date has not been determined. The windows will also be cleaned soon.

9. NEW BUSINESS
A. Consideration to approve specific personnel matters requiring board action.
10. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
John and Linda Woodley from Westchester attended. Linda commented that the senior fair was great from start to finish. She said she was very happy with how it was run, the food, the participation, and all the people involved. They really appreciated it.
11. ADJOURNMENT
Trustee Olson moved, seconded by Trustee Christopher, that the Board of Trustees adjourn the meeting at 5:39 p.m.
