Families in Cicero gathered at 34th and Laramie starting at 10 a.m. to receive free carnival wristbands for their children, as part of an initiative organized by the Town of Cicero. The distribution required proof of residency, with parents providing school IDs, PowerSchool documents, or identification for young children not yet in school. Children needed to be present and meet a minimum height requirement of 32 inches to qualify for the wristbands.

President Larry Dominick commented on the event: “The wristband giveaway is just one of the many ways we work to make Cicero Fest accessible and fun for all our families,” President Dominick said. “We’re proud to see so many children benefit from this effort and look forward to seeing them enjoy the festival.”

Cicero Fest features live music, food, and rides each summer. The free wristband program was designed to ensure that local families could participate without financial barriers.

More than 1,000 children received free wristbands during the special distribution held on Sunday, June 29 at Cicero Community Park. The event was led by President Larry Dominick and the Town Board with the goal of giving local families free access to carnival rides during Cicero Fest.
