More than 1,000 children in Cicero received free carnival wristbands for Cicero Fest. This initiative was led by President Larry Dominick and the Town of Cicero Board of Trustees, aiming to allow local families to enjoy the festival without cost.

Families began lining up at 34th and Laramie from 10 a.m., where Town staff distributed the wristbands. To receive a wristband, proof of Cicero residency was required. Parents brought school IDs, PowerSchool documentation, and identification for young children not yet in school. Children had to be present to receive a wristband and meet the 32-inch height requirement for rides.

“The wristband giveaway is just one of the many ways we work to make Cicero Fest accessible and fun for all our families,” President Dominick said. “We’re proud to see so many children benefit from this effort and look forward to seeing them enjoy the festival.”

Cicero Fest is well-known for its live music, delicious food, and thrilling rides, making it one of the summer's most anticipated events. Thanks to the generosity of Town leadership, local kids were able to celebrate at no cost.
