Cléme’s Jewelry and Gifts opened its doors on Laramie Avenue in Cicero with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The event gathered town officials, family members, and supporters at 11:30 a.m. to celebrate this new addition to the community, spearheaded by Cicero resident Cynthia Andrea Dominguez.
Dominguez shared her reasons for opening the store, which offers a range of gold, silver, and black-and-gold jewelry. “I enjoy wearing a lot of gold and jewelry—it’s a beautiful way to express fashion and style,” Dominguez said. “I wanted to share that feeling with others and offer beautiful, accessible pieces to the community.”
The Dominguez-Camacho family, already known in Cicero's business community, adds this jewelry store to their ventures. Cynthia's husband runs appliance businesses locally, giving the family insight into community needs.
Town Clerk Maria Punzo-Arias expressed appreciation for the opening's significance for Cicero's economic growth. “It’s always great to see new businesses flourish here,” she said. “We want to thank the Dominguez family for choosing Cicero again, and I was already a customer this morning! Supporting local businesses is more important than ever, and I encourage everyone to stop by and show support.”
Town Trustee Victor Garcia highlighted the pride local businesses bring to Cicero. “When our own residents open businesses right here in town, it shows we’re doing something right,” Garcia said. “I’ve known the Dominguez family for years, and I’m proud to see them continue investing in Cicero. Their energy and enthusiasm inspire others to do the same.”
Business License Director Ismael Vargas thanked town departments for their support of new ventures, emphasizing the importance of community-based businesses. “This is a small, mom-and-pop shop, and we’re blessed to have it here,” Vargas said. “They are not only residents, but they’re choosing to invest in the town they call home—and that’s what community is all about.”
The official opening was marked by a ceremonial ribbon-cutting, signifying the start of operations for Cléme’s Jewelry and Gifts. The store, located at 2412 Laramie Avenue, offers various jewelry products, special discounts, and a warm reception from the Dominguez-Camacho family. Inquiries can be made by calling (312) 871-7390.
