A winning Mega Millions ticket worth $1 million was sold at Tony’s Fresh Market in Chicago, according to a recent announcement by the Illinois Lottery. The ticket matched five numbers in the February 25 drawing, which were 4-8-11-32-52.

The grocery store, located at 4608 West Belmont Ave., will receive $10,000 for selling the winning ticket. This year alone, more than 350,000 winning Mega Millions tickets have been sold in Illinois, totaling over $2.4 million in prizes.

Winners have one year from the draw date to claim their prize. The Illinois Lottery advises winners to sign the back of their tickets and keep them secure until they are ready to claim their winnings.

Currently, the Mega Millions jackpot stands at an estimated $197 million with the next drawing scheduled for tonight at 10 p.m. CT. Tickets cost $2 each, with an option to add a Megaplier for an additional dollar.

Tickets can be purchased through various platforms including in-store, online, or via the Illinois Lottery app. Additional information and online purchasing options are available at IllinoisLottery.com.

The Illinois Lottery encourages responsible play with their message: "Be Smart, Play Smart." Participants must be 18 years or older to play.

Since its inception in 1974, the Illinois Lottery has contributed over $25 billion to support K-12 public education through the State’s Common School Fund.
