A $10.4 million Lotto ticket was sold at a Mobil gas station in Des Plaines, Illinois, over the weekend. The ticket holder matched all six numbers in Saturday's draw to claim the jackpot prize. The winning numbers were 6-9-18-31-39-49.

The ticket was purchased for the February 8 drawing at the gas station located at 9660 Golf Road. Jinu John, co-owner of the Mobil gas station, expressed excitement about selling the winning ticket so soon after acquiring the store just a month ago. "We only bought this store a month ago, and already we have a big jackpot winner!" he said. "I don’t know who won - but it’s certainly one lucky guy or girl."

In addition to the winner's prize, the gas station will receive a selling bonus of one percent of the prize amount. John added that they are eager to meet their customers and hope to see some regular faces following this event.

Already in 2025, more than 805,000 winning Lotto tickets have been sold in Illinois with prizes totaling over $13 million. Winners have up to one year from the date of their win to claim their prize and are encouraged by the Illinois Lottery to sign their ticket and keep it safe until claiming.

Lotto is an exclusive game for Illinois players held three times weekly on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. It also includes two additional drawings: Lotto Million 1 and Lotto Million 2, each offering a chance to win $1 million.

Tickets can be purchased both physically and online through various platforms including the Illinois Lottery app. More details are available on IllinoisLottery.com.

The Illinois Lottery advises players to gamble responsibly by setting spending limits that do not exceed what they can afford to lose. Further information is available on their responsible gaming web pages.

Since its establishment in 1974, the Illinois Lottery has contributed significantly to public education funding through its proceeds directed primarily towards K-12 education via the Common School Fund.
