On the morning of October 30th, the Cicero Community Center hosted a Halloween celebration for local seniors. By 10 AM, the gym was filled with costumes and seasonal treats.

Diana Dominick, Director of the Senior Center, welcomed attendees. “Thank you all for joining us today for our Halloween celebration here at the Community Center,” she announced. She expressed gratitude towards Town President Larry Dominick and the Board of Trustees for supporting Cicero’s seniors.

“Let’s just make a memorable day filled with joy and community spirit. Happy Halloween to all!”

Town President Larry Dominick also shared his delight in the festivities. “I love it because the seniors get together, have a good time, and enjoy some food and dancing,” he said with a chuckle.

Fran Rietz, Town Collector, thanked participants. “We’re getting ready to do the raffles, with eight lucky winners,” she announced excitedly. She promised ten winners for best costumes in an upcoming contest.

As festivities continued, President Dominick sang “Monster Mash” to start karaoke. Seniors joined in with enthusiasm.

Blanca Vargas, Town Trustee, reflected on the event’s success: “The most rewarding part was seeing them enjoy the costume contest and winning.”

The event turned an ordinary Wednesday into a lively Halloween party where seniors felt connected and uplifted.
