Town President Larry Dominick and the Town of Cicero Board of Trustees recognized the contributions of over a dozen volunteer social service organizations on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. The event celebrated various groups for their efforts in supporting the community.
The organizations honored included Corazón Community Services, El Porvenir Grocery Store, Erie Neighborhood House, Boys Club of Chicago CEDA, Family Focus, Gethsemane Lutheran Church, New Vision Community Church/Casa de Oración, Rincon Family Services, Solutions for Care, the Salvation Army, Un Nuevo Despertar/A New Awakening, the Community Collaborative of Cicero, Cicero Furniture Liquidators, and United Scrap Metal.
Former Cicero Assessor John Kociolko and Cicero Business License Director Ismael Vargas hosted the event. Representatives from each organization received certificates as tokens of appreciation from the town.
