Congratulations to Laura and Mark Dahl, whose garden at 4206 DuBois Blvd. was the Brookfield Beautification Commission's choice for its Garden Recognition Program for the month of August.

According to their daughter, Marie, the Dahls "have poured their hearts into their beautiful garden for almost 20 years. I have watched them create a beautiful haven for butterflies, birds and wildlife through their careful selection of plants and flowers. At night, it is lit by beautiful glowing lights and is truly amazing."

"Everyone who visits is in awe when they step into the garden, and my parents have done so much to beautify their home and garden. I am so proud to have grown up in this garden and to call it home."

Along with a Garden Recognition sign, which the Dahls can display in their front garden, the couple also received a $50 Enjoy Brookfield gift card, which can be used to purchase goods and services at businesses throughout our Village.

The Dahls' garden was selected from seven nominations made by Brookfield homeowners, and it was the third and final garden recognized by the Brookfield Beautification Commission in 2024. The commission is no longer accepting nominations for this year, but the program will return to recognize more gardens in 2025.

You can find out more about the Brookfield Beautification's Garden Recognition Program by visiting the Beautification Commission's page on the Village website.
