The Village of Brookfield is set to begin construction related to lead water service replacements in the 3700 block of Grand Boulevard. The project is scheduled to commence on Monday, Sept. 9 and aims for substantial completion by Friday, Sept. 13.

Although some pavement or sidewalk restoration work may extend into the following week, all activities are expected to conclude by Friday, Sept. 20.

During construction, two-way traffic on Grand Boulevard will be maintained at all times to minimize disruption. Traffic flaggers will manage any temporary obstructions to northbound or southbound traffic. Additionally, traffic control devices and informational signage will be present to ensure the safety of the work area.

On-street parking throughout the block will remain available; however, there will be limited parking at several locations as needed. Multiple parking spaces in a row will be closed off depending on where work is being performed that day. The contractor will post no-parking signs (7 a.m.-5 p.m.) at each location in advance to alert residents and business owners.

If any water service-related work is being conducted at or inside a property, a separate letter with detailed information was issued to each affected property owner. Those who have not received this letter should note that their private property will not be directly impacted by these improvements.
