Oak Street Health, a rapidly growing network of primary care centers, celebrated the grand opening of its first clinic in Cicero, Illinois, on Saturday, August 10th. This marks a significant expansion in its mission to provide high-quality healthcare to underserved communities. The clinic is located inside the CVS at the intersection of Cermak Road and Central Avenue.

The event, held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., saw local residents, healthcare professionals, and town officials gather for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. "This clinic represents a significant investment in the health and well-being of our residents," said Larry Dominick, the Town President of Cicero. "We are grateful to Oak Street Health for choosing Cicero as the home for their newest location, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact this clinic will have on our community."

Attendees had the opportunity to tour the facility and meet with healthcare providers serving the Cicero community. The clinic features modern amenities designed with patient comfort in mind.

"By locating the clinic inside a CVS, we’re making it easier for our residents to access the care they need when they need it," said Diana Dominick, Director of the Senior Center. "This partnership allows us to offer more convenient, coordinated care that can truly make a difference in the lives of our senior citizens."

The grand opening included refreshments and giveaways for attendees. Miguel Navarrete Jr., Store Manager at CVS, remarked on the significance of integrating Oak Street Health into their store: "We’re actually making the store better. The main reason for the remodel is to add Oak Street Health and make it a one-stop shop for residents."

With this new location in Cicero, Oak Street Health continues expanding across Illinois and beyond.
