Western Springs Police issue crime alert on vehicle trespassing and burglaries

The Western Springs Police Department has issued a Crime Alert regarding recent vehicle trespassing and burglaries.

In the alert, the department stated: "Over the past week, we have received multiple reports of vehicle trespassing and burglaries in our community. These incidents have primarily occurred during the late evening and early morning hours."

The police advised residents to take precautions: "We urge all residents to lock their vehicles, remove valuables from plain sight, and report any suspicious activity immediately."

Residents expressed concern over the recent spike in crime. One local resident commented, "It's unsettling to know that this is happening so close to home. We need to be more vigilant."

The Western Springs Police Department emphasized its commitment to addressing these crimes: "Our officers are increasing patrols in affected areas and are working diligently to identify and apprehend those responsible."

The department also encouraged community involvement: "We ask for your cooperation in keeping our neighborhoods safe by staying alert and reporting any unusual activities."
