The Town of Cicero Health Department has issued a high heat advisory for residents, effective Tuesday, June 18, 2024. The advisory, also released in Spanish as "Aviso de Calor Extremo emitido por el Departamento de Salud del Municipio de Cicero," aims to inform and protect the community during periods of extreme temperatures.

Residents are encouraged to take necessary precautions to avoid heat-related illnesses. The Health Department advises staying hydrated, avoiding strenuous outdoor activities during peak heat hours, and checking on vulnerable individuals such as the elderly and young children.

Local cooling centers have been made available for those without access to air conditioning. For more information and updates, residents can visit the Town of Cicero's official website or contact the Health Department directly.
