MEMBERS PRESENT: Village President Michael Garvey, Village Clerk Brigid Weber, Trustee Edward Cote, Trustee Nicole Gilhooley, Trustee Jennifer Hendricks, Trustee Kathryn Kaluzny, Trustee Kit Ketchmark, and Trustee Julie Narimatsu

MEMBERS ABSENT:

STAFF PRESENT: Adam Durkin, Michael Kuruvilla, Derek Treichel, Tim Wiberg, Stevie Ferrari, Vincent Smith, Libby Popovic, Kate Portillo, and Doug Cooper

Discussion of Case 24-08 Request for a Variance from §62-215 Station Area Districts Zoning Requiring Retail/Service Uses on the Ground Floor in SA-1 for 8911 Burlington

Village Planner Kate Portillo provides a background on the case, proposed use, and the recommendation by Planning and Zoning Commission.

Comments and questions are made by President Garvey and Trustees Gilhooley, Hendricks, and Cote. Scott McNaughten, Ryan McNaughten, and Chuck Grund answers questions from the Board.

Discussion of Case 24-07 Request for a Variance from §62-75 Bulk, Yard, and Space Requirements for 3825 Raymond Avenue

Village Planner Kate Portillo provides a background on the case and the Planning as well as the recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Commission and the condition set for the request. Comments and questions are made by President Garvey and Trustee Cote.

Discussion of Adopting Revisions to the Village’s Chapter 58 – Vegetation Code to Meet the Tree Inventory Grant Requirements

Public Works Director Vincent Smith provides a background on the grant received and proposed revisions to the Village Code. Comments and questions are made by President Garvey and Trustees Hendricks, Kaluzny, Gilhooley, Ketchmark, Cote, Village Attorney Adam Durkin also comments on local ordinance and state laws regarding tree replacement. Village Engineer Derek Treichel comments on the challenges with water main installation and tree planting.
