Cicero Fest, the annual celebration of American Independence at the Cicero Fairgrounds, has been rescheduled to June 20-23. The shift results from circumstances beyond the town’s control.

“We had been moving forward with June 27-30 right until the beginning of the month,” said Patti Sturdevant, Cicero’s Special Events Director. “When word came that we had to move it, we shuffled everything we could, including making sure we had the best live music we could find.”

The festival will run from 5-10 p.m. on June 20 and 21, and from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on June 22 and 23. Live music will start at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and at 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

“Aside from the date, nothing has changed. We are still having carnival rides, food booths, and lots of fun for everyone who comes,” said Town President Larry Dominick. “Celebrating America’s freedom is just as important on June 20 as it would be on June 27 or July 4; it’s the foundation of our success and should be celebrated every day.”
