The annual city vehicle sticker online/mail early bird sale is set to commence on May 15 and will run through May 31, 2024. This exclusive online/mail sale is applicable only to vehicle renewals without any updates or corrections. Discounts for online purchases cannot be availed at City Hall service counters.
The City of Berwyn mandates that all registered vehicles, including those that use or park on the city's public ways, must properly display the current year's city-issued vehicle sticker. The sticker should be placed at the lower right-hand corner of the inside glass portion of the vehicle's windshield.
The deadline for displaying the city vehicle sticker on windshields is June 30. Mail and online purchases must be completed by June 20 to ensure delivery of the vehicle sticker on or before this deadline. Vehicle stickers purchased after June 30 will incur a $50.00 late fee.
For new vehicle registrations and updates, residents are required to submit their application in person at City Hall (6700 W. 26th Street) to purchase a city vehicle sticker. New vehicle registrations require a valid driver’s license, state vehicle registration with a present Berwyn address, and a completed 2023-2024 Vehicle Sticker Application.
Vehicle rates vary depending on the type and number of vehicles registered to a single household. For households with more than three registered vehicles and Class B Vehicles, additional information can be found in the Quick Reference City Vehicle Rate image or Classification of License Fees; Rate Structure Link.
Senior citizens (65+) and military veterans are eligible for special incentives which include one free city vehicle license per household.
Discounts are available for online purchases, mail-in purchases, and early bird transactions completed between May 15 and postmarked by May 31, online.
Purchases can be made in person at City Hall during normal business hours, via mail for renewals on a pre-printed form mailed to the City of Berwyn, or online at www.berwyn-il.gov.
