Elmhurst University Presentation of Community Survey Findings
Emily Athanasiou, Francesa Smith, Martin Makowski, and Peyton Kotowski from Elmhurst University present their findings from the Community Survey they conducted.
Discussion of Request for a Special Use Permit for a Cannabis Dispensary use at 8863 W Ogden Avenue.
Village Planner Kate Portillo presents some preliminary information regarding the prior use of the building and current zoning regulations. The proposed use of the site includes keeping the existing building with updates and improvements, removing a pole sign, and removing the residential structure. The proposed site plan is shown as well as the connection this proposal has to Energize Ogden Plan. The Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously in favor to approve the Special Use with three conditions relating to fencing and curb cut approval from IDOT. Village Staff also had three conditions to the Special Use relating to fencing and curb cut approval from IDOT.
Trustee Hendricks reads off public comments. Questions and comments are made by President Garvey, Trustee Cote, Trustee Ketchmark, Trustee Narimatsu, and Trustee Kaluzny. Village Manager Tim Wiberg addresses some of the questions asked by the Village Board.
The 1937 Group presents their proposal for a Special Use. Representatives from The 1927 Project include Ambrose Jackson, Sonya Antilech, Jim Riley, and Ron Elkins. This presentation consists of the group's background, why they chose Brookfield, and plans for the site at 8863 W Ogden Avenue.
