Stars Back to Even in FloridaThe Dominican University baseball team played Fontbonne University in their fourth game in Florida. 

Game Results:
Dominican:5
Fontbonne:4 

How it Happened:
-Fontbonne took the lead in the top of the first by scoring one run on one hit. 
-Dominican responded quickly, as they took the lead in their half of the first on a two out triple by Sophomore Ryan Schmidt.
-The Gfiffins stormed back in the top of the third scoring two runs on three hits.  
-DU took back the lead in the bottom of the third on a single by Schmidt plus a throwing error by a Fontbonne fielder. The Stars took a 4-3 lead into the fourth. 
-Stars extended their lead to two on a single from Sophomore CJ Kalekas in the bottom of the fourth. 
-Fontbonne chipped into the DU lead in the top of the seventh by scoring a run on two hits. 


Shining Stars:
-Sophomore Ryan Schmidt led the Stars with two hits and three RBIs. 
-Junior Grayson Downing chipeed in with 2 hits and two runs scored. 
-Junior Chris Kendziora started todays game went 6 innings, 3 strikeouts, only allowed 4 hits, and gets the win.
-Senior Carson Harvery came out of the pen throwing 2 innings 
-Junior Joey Haslam came in to get the save in the bottom of the 9th.

3B: Schmidt (1)

What's Next:
The Dominican University baseball team will have a day off before playing Trine University at 1:45 p.m. ET  on March 8th.
