City of Northlake City Council met Dec. 5.

MINUTES OF THE 1,613th MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTHLAKE

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.

Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

ROLL CALL:

PRESENT: Alderman Straube

Alderman Feldmann

Alderman Garcia

Alderman Contreras

Alderman Johnson

Alderman Urbina

Alderman Grochowski

Alderman Patti

OTHERS PRESENT: Ken Beres, Chief Of Police

Tony Faciano, Superintendent Public Works

Mark Sterk, City Attorney

Mayor Sherwin presented the minutes of the city council meeting held on November 21, 2022.

Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the minutes of the city council meeting held on November 21, 2022; seconded by Alderman Straube. Mayor Sherwin asked if there were any additions or corrections. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor.

MOTION TO ACCEPT THE MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON NOVEMBER 21, 2022 CARRIED

Mayor Sherwin presented a plaque to Tony Faciano commemorating his working for the City of Northlake for 30 years.

Alderman Straube made a motion to accept the Warrants and Vouchers; seconded by Alderman Patti.

Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

ROLL CALL: Aldermen Straube, Feldmann, Contreras, Garcia, Johnson, Urbina, Grochowski And Patti

NAYS: None

MOTION TO ACCEPT THE WARRANTS AND VOUCHERS CARRIED

Mayor Sherwin reminded everyone that Winterfest is on December 9th from 5-8:30pm.

Alderman Straube made a motion to approve the First Amendment to the Agreement for Residential Collection and Transportation of Municipal Solid Waste, dated and effective November 2, 2020 between the City of Northlake and Lakeshore Recycling Systems; seconded by Alderman Straube.

Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

ROLL CALL: Aldermen Straube, Feldmann, Contreras, Garcia, Johnson, Urbina, Grochowski And Patti

NAYS: None

MOTION TO APPROVE THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT FOR RESIDENTIAL COLLECTION AND TRANSPORTATION OF MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE, DATED AND EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 2, 2020 BETWEEN THE CITY OF NORTHLAKE AND LAKESHORE RECYCLING SYSTEMS CARRIED

Alderman Patti made a motion to approve Resolution R-20-2022; A Resolution Indicating Municipal Support and Consent to the Filing of an Application by T5@Chicago III, LP for a Class b Incentive Classification for the Property Located at 11650 West Grand Avenue, Northlake, Illinois, Cook County, Illinois (PINs: 12-19-300-020-0000, 12-30-102-001-0000); seconded by Alderman Straube. Mayor

Sherwin called for the roll.

MOTION TO APPROVE RESOLUTION R-20-2022; A RESOLUTION INDICATING MUNICIPAL SUPPORT AND CONSENT TO THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION BY T5@CHICAGO III, LP FOR A CLASS B INCENTIVE CLASSIFICATION FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 11650 WEST GRAND AVENUE, NORTHLAKE, ILLINOIS, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS

(PINS: 12-19-300-020-0000, 12-30-102-001-0000) CARRIED

Alderman Grochowski made a motion to approve Resolution R-21-2022; A Resolution Approving the 2022 Community Development Block Grant Program Year Agreements with the County of Cook, Illinois for Project Number 2206-2004; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

NAYS: None

MOTION TO APPROVE RESOLUTION R-21-2022; A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 2022 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM YEAR AGREEMENTS WITH THE COUNTY OF COOK, ILLINOIS FOR PROJECT NUMBER 2206-2004 CARRIED

Alderman Patti made a motion to award the bid for Nagle Perri Park Improvements to Clauss Brothers, Inc. per the recommendation of the Engineers; seconded by Alderman Straube.

Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

NAYS: None

MOTION TO AWARD THE BID FOR NAGLE PERRI PARK IMPROVEMENTS TO CLAUSS BROTHERS, INC. PER THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE ENGINEERS CARRIED

There being no further business, Alderman Straube made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote.
