Mayor Sherwin presented the minutes of the city council meeting held on November 7, 2022. Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the minutes of the city council meeting held on November 7, 2022; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin asked if there were any additions or corrections. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor.
MOTION TO ACCEPT THE MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON NOVEMBER 7, 2022 CARRIED
Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the minutes of the Budget Workshop held on November 14, 2022; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

There was a short swearing-in ceremony for a new Police Sergeant, Phil Gaske.

Mayor Sherwin wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and reminded everyone that Winterfest is on December 9th from 5-8:30pm.
Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the purchase of a 2023 Sure Trac 7’ X 18’ Tilt Bed Equipment Trailer for Public Works; seconded by Alderman Straube. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Alderman Patti made a motion to approve Ordinance O-16-2022; An Ordinance for the Levy and Assessment of 2022 Taxes Paid in the Year Beginning January 1, 2023 and Ending December 31, 2023 for the City of Northlake, Cook County, Illinois; seconded by Alderman Straube. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

MOTION TO APPROVE ORDINANCE O-16-2022; AN ORDINANCE FOR THE LEVY AND ASSESSMENT OF 2022 TAXES PAID IN THE YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2023 AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2023 FOR THE CITY OF NORTHLAKE, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS
A resident came forward to check on the results of the chicken referendum in the election on November 8th. As of today’s date, the yes votes are up by 1. If the referendum passes, City Council will discuss and vote. A committee will be formed to propose a plan going forward.
There being no further business, Alderman Straube made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote.
