Stars Win Third in a Row
The Dominican University men's basketball team traveled to Franklin College for a road contest on Saturday.
Results:
Dominican: 71
Franklin: 68
How it Happened:
-This matchup was back and forth all game long.
-Dominican couldn't get much separation and went into halftime tied at 36-36.
-The Stars made 44 percent of their threes in both halves to give them an advantage.
-Franklin could only make 4 of 22 three-point shots.
-DU's 18 turnovers kept it close, but they were able to pull it out at the end.
Shining Stars:
-Junior Robert Taylor made the game winning shot with under 10 seconds, while also being fouled and making the free-throw.
-Junior Jacob Riedl continued to dominate on the boards.
-Freshman Joshua West played bigger than his 6'3" frame and led the team in blocked shots.
-Junior Andre Bennett took the offensive burden and contributed the most points.
