9.1.1 Trustee Liaison Report

Trustee Graf-Stone informs everyone regarding open enrollment for health insurance has begun and will close on November 18 2022.

RFP’s have been received for new phone system and all departments will be reviewing. Trustee Graf-Stone informs all audit has been finalized and will be possibly be presented at next board meeting.

Trustee Salemi informs all of a small business cook county funding grant available, please inquire with Trustee Salemi for further details. Library Director informs all of food pantry available at northwest corner of Berkeley library parking lot.

9.3 Police and Property Maintenance (Chair – Trustee Mathews; Co-Chair Trustee Hammar)

9.4 Fire and Health (Chair – Trustee Salemi; Co-Chair Trustee Perez) 9.4.1 Trustee Liaison Report

Trustee Salemi recites notification from Chief Larem that there are couple of firefighter paramedics possibly joining staff. Also, the entire staff has now been trained on the new CPR machines and staff has also been awarded new radios from a FEMA grant.

9.5 Public Works and Utilities (Chair – Trustee Hammar; Co-Chair Trustee Mohammed)

9.5.1 Trustee Liaison Report

Trustee Hammar informs all of the Park District ad-hoc meeting that has made some head-way on several topics, next meeting will be held 11/09/22 at 6:30 p.m. at village hall. All are invited. He also provides updates regarding Proviso Dr construction, there is a lot involvedincluding moving hydrants and the roadway being reduced to one lane.

9.5.3 Motion to Approve a Resolution to Waive Competitive Bidding and Authorize Execution of a Purchase Agreement Between the Village of Berkeley, Cook County, Illinois and Morton Salt, Inc. for the Purchase of 525 Tons of Road Salt at an Amount not to Exceed $76.712 Per Ton

9.6 Community and Intergovernmental Relations (Chair – Trustee Perez; Co Chair Trustee Graf-Stone)

9.6.1 Trustee Liaison Report

Trustee Graf-Stone stated fall fest was a great success with vendors and music, partnership with Hillside worked out very well. Advises all performers for 2023 for music in the park have been secured. Also, Veterans day parade coming up 1st Saturday of November. St Domitilla hosting luncheon afterward.

10 Village President

10.1 10/19/22 Honor Flight Celebration at Midway Airport at 8:30 p.m.- Administrator Espiritu provides details regarding police presence being provided when they arrive back home in Berkeley.

10.2 10/20/22 Curbside Electronics Collection Event (registration required)-need to register on website

10.3 10/31/22 Halloween Trick-or-Treat Hours 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.

10.4 11/1/22 Village Board Meeting at 6:30 p.m.
