Stars Win First Game on the Road

The Dominican University men's basketball team traveled to Beloit College on Tuesday. This was their season opening game.

Results:
Dominican: 76
Beloit: 63

How it Happened:
-The Stars were scorching hot from three in the first half with 6 of their 8 attempts falling.
-Dominican shot efficiently in the first half, making 64 percent of their shots
-DU led 44-25 at half
-The Stars struggled from the free=throw line in the second half, shooting just 1-9
-Dominican held on despite shooting just 45 percent in the second half.

Shining Stars:
-Freshman Joshua West wasn't afraid to let it fly in his first career game and led the team in scoring.
-Junior Jacob Riedl and West combined for 18 rebounds.
-Junior Andre Bennett was the main facilitator.

Blocks: Lewis (1)

What's Next:
Dominican heads to Principia College on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
