Village of Schiller Park Committee of the Whole met May 19.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

CALL TO ORDER:

President Nick Caiafa called the meeting to order at 6:11 P.M.

ROLL CALL:

Upon roll call by Village Clerk Jos, the following Elected Officials were:

Present: President Nick Caiafa, Trustees: Marie Lukowski, Russell Klug, Joan Golembiewski, Tom Deegan, Robert Lima, Terri Sheridan, and Village Clerk Rosa Jos

Absent:

Clerk Jos declared a quorum present.

Also present: Corporate Counsel Joe Montana, Village Manager Brett Kryska

III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

1. Trustee Sheridan moved, seconded by Trustee Golembiewski that the MINUTES of the Committee of the Whole Meeting of May 5, 2022

Upon roll call the following voted:

Ayes: Trustees: Lukowski, Klug, Golembiewski, Deegan, Lima, and Sheridan

Absent; None

Nay: None

President Caiafa declared the motion carried.

IV. PERSONS WISHING TO BE HEARD:

V. BUSINESS:

Mayor Caiafa gave a few updates regarding Village Business. Brett Kryska, Village Manager, stated that Phase II of the Mannheim and Irving Park project, is close to completion. Prospective developers will be directed to file a Request for Proposal document. The Village will be working on an agreement with the authorized developer.

The Mayor also stated the Village is in the litigation process with the owner of the 4800 River Road property to improve the condition of the property.

There was a discussion regarding the safety and aesthetics of the Irving Park Road viaduct, Mayor Caiafa stated that the Village received a quote for the viaduct restoration project and will move forward with the planning. The Mayor said that Street Program bids are in, and projects should be starting in mid-July.

Mayor Caiafa stated that the Village received government grant money and gave an overview of the projects that will be done with the grant money.

There was a discussion regarding the Village implementing protocols for adjudication fines.

With no further business to conduct, it was moved by Trustee Lima, seconded by Trustee Lukowski, that the Committee of the Whole Meeting be adjourned. Upon roll call the following voted:

Aye: Trustees: Lukowski, Klug, Golembiewski, Deegan, Lima, and Sheridan

Absent: None

Nay: None

President Caiafa declared the motion carried and this Committee of the Whole Meeting was adjourned at 7:02 P.M.
