City of Northlake City Council met May 16.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.

Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

ROLL CALL:

PRESENT: Alderman Straube

Alderman Johnson

Alderman Gonzalez

Alderman Grochowski

Alderman Patti

PRESENT VIA CONFERENCE BRIDGE: Alderman Feldmann

Alderman Contreras

ABSENT: Alderman Garcia

OTHERS PRESENT: Ken Beres, Chief Of Police

Tony Faciano, Superintendent Public Works

Carol Lampard, Finance Director

Mark Sterk, City Attorney

Mayor Sherwin presented the minutes of the city council meeting held on May 2 2022. Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the minutes of the city council meeting held on May 2, 2022; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin asked if there were any additions or corrections. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

MOTION TO ACCEPT THE MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON MAY 2, 2022 CARRIED

Alderman Patti made a motion to appoint Kay Koca to the Senior Citizens Commission; seconded by Alderman Straube. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

ROLL CALL: Aldermen Straube, Feldmann, Contreras, Johnson, Gonzalez, Grochowski And Patti

Absent: Alderman Garcia

Nays: None

MOTION TO APPROVE THE APPOINTMENT OF KAY KOCA TO THE SENIOR CITIZENS COMMISSION CARRIED

Officer Krzystof Gogola was sworn into the rank of Sergeant by Manuel Ferra, Chairperson of the Board of Police Commissioners.

Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the Warrants and Vouchers; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

ROLL CALL: Aldermen Straube, Feldmann, Contreras, Johnson, Gonzalez, Grochowski And Patti

Absent: Alderman Garcia

Nays: None

MOTION TO ACCEPT THE WARRANTS AND VOUCHERS CARRIED

Mayor Sherwin reminded everyone that next month starts the summer schedule of one city council meeting a month.

Alderman Grochowski made a motion to approve Resolution R-11-2022; A Resolution Approving a Restrictive Covenant for the Property Commonly Known as 205 South Wolf Road, Northlake, Illinois; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

ROLL CALL: Aldermen Straube, Feldmann, Contreras, Johnson, Gonzalez, Grochowski And Patti

Absent: Alderman Garcia

Nays: None

MOTION TO APPROVE RESOLUTION R-11-2022; A RESOLUTION APPROVING A RESTRICTIVE COVENANT FOR THE PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 205 SOUTH WOLF ROAD, NORTHLAKE, ILLINOIS CARRIED

Alderman Patti made a motion to approve Resolution R-12-2022; A Resolution Authorizing the Sale of Real Estate Commonly Known as Lot 49 in King Arthur, Northlake, Illinois; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

ROLL CALL: Aldermen Straube, Feldmann, Contreras, Johnson, Gonzalez, Grochowski And Patti

Absent: Alderman Garcia

Nays: None

MOTION TO APPROVE RESOLUTION R-12-2022; A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF REAL ESTATE COMMONLY KNOWN AS LOT 49 IN KING ARTHUR, NORTHLAKE, ILLINOIS CARRIED

Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the Nagle Perri Park Improvements Project; seconded by Alderman Gonzalez. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

ROLL CALL: Aldermen Straube, Feldmann, Contreras, Johnson, Gonzalez, Grochowski And Patti

Absent: Alderman Garcia

Nays: None

MOTION TO APPROVE THE NAGLE PERRI PARK IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT CARRIED

A resident asked about drug overdoses in the city.

There being no further business, Alderman Straube made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor.

MOTION TO ADJOURN CARRIED

MEETING ADJOURNED 7:07 P.M.
