Darren Bailey, gubernatorial candidate for Illinois gave a statement standing up against a left-wing, anti-family rally that is set to take place June 1 within River Forest D90 at Lincoln elementary.
"It is shameful for adult school leaders to use children as props in a left-wing, anti-family political rally, which is what this is," Bailey said. "They see your children as a means to their political ends. Let's be clear: the real goal of these radical leftists isn't 'pride' but rather to destroy the innocence of your children by sexualizing and psychologically abusing them. They want to destabilize our schools and thus our communities. It's time for River Forest parents to wake up."
District 90 promoted the event on its website.

"Join us June 1st at 6:00 pm at Village Hall as we raise the Pride flag, then walk together around the Lincoln Elementary block a few times, ending on the Franklin Playground with music and the ice cream truck! Wear your rainbows, bring your family and show your support!" the notice on D90's website reads.
River Forest's priority of equality of outcome has led to the lowest test scores since these policies were implemented five years ago.
Bailey, a state senator from downstate Xenia, is one of five candidates running in the June 28 GOP primary for governor. The others are Aurora Mayor Richard Irvin, former state Sen. Paul Schimpf of Waterloo, entrepreneur Gary Rabine of Bull Valley and venture capitalist Jesse Sullivan of Petersburg.
