City of Northlake City Council met March 7.

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.

Mayor Sherwin presented the minutes of the city council meeting held on February 14, 2022. Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the minutes of the city council meeting held on February 14, 2022; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin asked if there were any additions or corrections. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
MOTION TO ACCEPT THE MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 14, 2022 CARRIED
Alderman Patti made a motion to reappoint Kary Sampson to the Community Events and Affairs Commission; seconded by Alderman Straube. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

MOTION TO REAPPOINT KARY SAMPSON TO THE COMMUNITY EVENTS AND AFFAIRS COMMISSION CARRIED
Paisans Pizzeria gave a presentation summarizing their business plan for a restaurant at 101 E. North Avenue.
Buy Commercial gave a presentation regarding Community Solar Program. This is for a community solar farm that residents could subscribe to for savings on their electric bill. It was agreed to refer the company’s Memorandum of Understanding to the city attorney for review. Alderman Grochowski made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor.
MOTION TO REFER MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR POSSIBLE COMMUNITY SOLAR PROGRAM TO CITY ATTORNEY FOR REVIEW CARRIED
Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the Warrants and Vouchers; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Mayor Sherwin opened a discussion regarding Food Trucks. Everyone agreed that for several reasons food trucks should not be allowed in the City of Northlake.
Alderman Straube made a motion to approve a Raffle License for Daughters of Devine Love Development Ministry; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.
