Dominican University's women's basketball team picked up a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) win on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Milwaukee School of Engineering 55-50 at home.
Both teams were tied at 25-all after a competitive first two quarters. DU edged in front, outscoring MSOE 14-11 in the third and then finished strong with an 11-9 fourth quarter to come away with a narrow five-point victory.
Alisha Markley poured in 23 points, making five threes, and added four rebounds and three assists. Stephenee Huggans chipped in 10 points, courtesy of six free throw makes. Kamryn Woods returned to the lineup and scored nine points in 20 minutes, going 4-of-6 from the field. DU made eight threes while MSOE made just one.
