Report: River Forest School District spent $16,948 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at River Forest School District 90 was up 10.6 percent from five years ago, according to the West Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $15,321 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $16,948 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 1,370 to 1,469 students over the same period.

River Forest's spending in 2019-20 was 16.9 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
