Report: Cicero School District spent $13,296 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Cicero School District 99 was up 31.9 percent from five years ago, according to the West Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $10,084 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $13,296 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 12,470 to 10,689 students over the same period.

Cicero's spending in 2019-20 was 8.3 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
