Report: Lyons School District spent $16,253 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Lyons School District 103 was up 40.1 percent from five years ago, according to the West Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $11,599 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $16,253 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 2,458 to 2,398 students over the same period.

Lyons's spending in 2019-20 was 12.2 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
