Report: Oak Park School District spent $15,079 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Oak Park Elementary School District 97 was up 8.3 percent from five years ago, according to the West Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $13,924 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $15,079 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 5,972 to 6,042 students over the same period.

Oak Park's spending in 2019-20 was 4.1 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
