Report: Berwyn North School District spent $13,437 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Berwyn North School District 98 was up 12.6 percent from five years ago, according to the West Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $11,934 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $13,437 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 3,251 to 2,810 students over the same period.

Berwyn North's spending in 2019-20 was 7.3 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
