Superintendent Smith acknowledged that it has been a difficult year for teacher especially coming out of Covid.
B. Ms. Cara also asked the Board about the nationwide tiktok threat. Dr. Smith addressed the issue of tiktok through the school’s communications to the parents and posting a notice on all district social media outlets letting parents know that the district is aware of the tiktok threat. Lincoln Middle School admin has reached out to the Berwyn Police Department. The superintendent has assured the Board and community that the threats are being taken seriously, however no one knows where the threats are coming from making it very difficult for school districts to do much about the matter.
