A video of a Lyons Township High School teacher berating a student for not being vaccinated is making the rounds on video platforms.
In the video, language arts assistant division chair Toby Casella-- also a school wrestling coach-- berates a student who questions the efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines.
“That’s really not smart,” Casella, a 1984 alum of the school, tells an unnamed student who confides that he is not vaccinated.
“Why does it matter if you are vaccinated or not?” the student asks.
Casella, who also works as a manager at La Grange Field Club, responds that his “cardio pulmonologist best friend from high school” told him an increasing number of unvaccinated people in the student’s age group had recently died.
"Not saying that you’re going to get it, but there is a much higher risk,” Casella told the student. There’s no reason not to do that and then you also become a carrier of it and spread it to other people. You are much less likely to spread it to other people if you are vaccinated.”
Casella then accused the student of putting others at risk.
“But you seem not to care,” he said. “You’ve not been vaccinated. There’s lots of opportunities to get vaccinated. Do that. I’d suggest you do it. You don’t have to do it, I didn’t ask if you were vaccinated or not, you offered that information to me.”
The COVID-19 vaccines being used in the United States are authorized for emergency use, but still not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. A different COVID-19 vaccine called "Comirnaty" was approved by the FDA in August, but it is only being distributed in Europe.
In the United Kingdom, government data shows COVID-19 deaths in the vaccinated are now outpacing those of the unvaccinated. Doctors in the country say the vaccines are increasing heart attack risk. And in Scotland, an investigation has been launched into a "spike" in newborn baby deaths.
COVID-19 journalist and author Alex Berenson says this is because vaccines are not working as advertised.
"Something is wrong. The promises that the health authorities have made over the last 12 months about the vaccines are not coming true," he wrote last week. "Despite near-complete levels of adult vaccination in Europe, many countries are seeing skyrocketing Covid cases and deaths. And worst of all, all-cause non-Covid mortality is running well above normal in country after country."
In October, Pfizer scientists themselves were caught on video saying that natural immunity was preferable to vaccination. A report in the New England Journal of Medicine said the same, released last week.

Caella: You don’t.

Casella: It’s great question. My cardiopulmonologist best friend from high school –– as you get off your phone because you are ignorant and not showing me your attention while I’m talking.
(Pause in tape)
Casella: Death certificates in the last two weeks than he had signed in the in the past two years. Fact, from Colorado for people who are like you not vaccinated.
Student: (Interjects inaudibly)
Casella: What does that mean?
Student: Why did they die?
Casella: Because they died of Covid / SARS
