ScaleUp | Learn. Scale. Succeed.

ScaleUp is an award-winning intensive 9-week cohort-based curriculum that is designed to assist established, Chicagoland businesses that are experiencing a no/slow growth pattern and sustainability issues due to COVID-19. Through the delivery of comprehensive and extensive business development services, ScaleUp equips entrepreneurs with the business/financial acumen, resources and tools necessary to maintain profitable businesses that retain and create jobs, fuel economic growth, and build strong communities.

WHY SCALE UP? WHY NOW?
ScaleUp is a vital resource for entrepreneurs looking to mitigate the impact of 
COVID-19. Each week the class dives into a different side of the business, giving owners the opportunity to review, learn and push themselves to encourage sustainability and growth.

  • Marketing: Your Brand, Mission and the 30 Second Pitch
  • Management: Build a Winning Team
  • Finances: Financial Statements, Break-even, Pricing & KPIs
  • Certification: Selecting the Right Certification & Contract Opportunities

PROGRAM BENEFITS
Business owners receive group advising as well as one-on-one mentoring and assistance with business sustainability and growth planning, marketing, finances, government procurement and certification. During the course and outside of class, quarterly networking opportunities take place with participants, other cohorts and former alumni. After the program, alumni continue to receive one-on-one support, as well as invitations to Executive Series classes; additional in-depth learning opportunities on subjects covered in the ScaleUp course.

Who Can Apply?

To be considered for acceptance into ScaleUp, you must be in business for at least two years, have at least two employees, have revenue of at least $50,000 (in 2019 or 2020), and are working on your business full time.

The cohort is only for businesses in DuPage, Kendall, Will, or Kane County.
