Village of Schiller Park Fire & Police Commission Met Aug. 5.

I. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL:
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Rawski at 7:30 PM
Upon call roll, the following were:
Present: Commissioner Irsuto, Commissioner Lucy and Chairman Rawski
Absent: Secretary Botti
Others Present: Director Fragakis and Deputy Chief DeSimone
II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: All present.
III. REVIEW AND VOTE TO ADOPT THE MINUTES OF THE LAST FIVE (5) MEETING:
Motion by Commissioner Irsuto to adopt the minutes of the last five
(5) meeting and second by Commissioner Lucy.
Upon call of the roll, the following voted:
Yes: Commissioner Irsuto, Commissioner Lucy and
Chairman Rawski
Abstained: None
No: None
The Chairman declared the motion carried
IV. DISCUSS STAFFING FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT:
• The Director and Deputy Chief presented t e· case for immediate Critical Mass "Lateral Transfer" vetting process and the hire of 2 new officers.
• They discussed many options, format, approach and the constraints of the finding the hire.
• Also discussed was the handling of the "passing up" of the candidates on the current list, and how to legally handle those issues.
• A special meeting was requested by Chairman Rawski to be held on Monday, August 16, 2021, to initiate the processes of the new hires.

Motion made by Commissioner Lucy and second by Commissioner lrsuto to Adjourn
