Mayor Lee thanks Rudy and staff for pursuing water tower in being a revenue generator. AT&T Senior Real Estate Constructive Manager Andrew Flowers thanked the Village for working together with tollway once all approved construction will start in June and finish in summer on the water tower.

Trustee Graf-stone reiterates ongoing efforts with water tower and tollway. She states numbers trending slightly downward on Covid-19. Updates partnership with garden club and library on event of caterpillar release Saturday, 5/22/21. Next week having dinner with Garden Club.

10 Village President

10.1 President’s Report

10.1.1 5/31/21 Memorial Day Ceremony

Village Hall Closed in observation of Memorial Day

10.1.2 6/1/21 Village Board Meeting at 6:30 p.m.

Mayor Lee states ceremony with American Legion for Memorial Day will be on Monday 5/31 at 11 a.m. There will be a drop box for American Flags. Poppy queen will be present with no fundraising. The next board meeting is on 6/01. There is ongoing discussion with Village of Hillside regarding Berkeley Baseball. Music in Park banners will be hung around the community. Without the picnic happening

Mayor Lee wants to place and rent a tent and small stage.

11 Village Administrator

Administrator Espiritu has report regarding COVID-19 last 30 days single digit increases. Numbers are still steady closely watched. Staff is following the agreed upon coronavirus plan.

12 Village Attorney

Springfield very active. Springfield proposing 10% cut on LGDF fund. Village now owns building at 1758 N. Taft Ave and deed has been recorded.

13 Public Comments and Questions

Trustee Graf-stone makes all aware low-cost vaccinations available for pet owners Saturday 5/19 9-12

Library Director Ryan Cox thanks public works, states code enforcement, fire and police had session with seniors and also training with staff.

Dan O’Connell asked about the former bank building on the corner of St. Charles and Wolf. Administrator Espiritu said it was purchased and will become a credit union.
