City of Northlake issued the following announcement on May. 21. 

Today the Illinois Housing Development Authority opened its 2021 Illinois Rental Payment Program to landlords. The program is designed to support renters in Illinois that have been unable to make payments due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The application portal is available at this link: https://ilrpp.ihda.org/.

There are two application periods, one now open for landlords and second opening in June for direct application from tenants. Below is a timeline that IHDA released on the aid:

• Housing providers/landlords may initiate a joint application starting today (Monday, May 17) through Monday, June 7.
  • Tenants will then have until Monday, June 14 to complete their portion of a landlord-initiated application.
• Tenants may initiate their own application starting Wednesday, June 9 through Monday, June 28.
  • Landlords will then have until Tuesday, July 6 to complete their portion of the tenant-initiated application.
