The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Board President Mounce

A. None stated.
V. ADJOURNMENT MOTION TO EXECUTIVE SESSION
Member Arenella moved and was seconded by Member Cuevas that the Special Board Meeting of the District 98 School Board of Education adjourn to Executive Session at 8:17 p.m., Wednesday, March 3, 2021 for the purpose of discussing the following items:
1. The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity. However, a meeting to consider an increase in compensation to a specific employee of a public body that is subject to the Local Government Wage Increase Transparency Act may not be closed and shall be open to the public and posted held in accordance with this Act. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1).
2. Student disciplinary cases. 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(9).

MOTION TO RECONVENE IN REGULAR SESSION
Member Cuevas moved and was seconded by Member Arenella that the Special Meeting of the District 98 School Board of Education reconvenes from Executive Session at 10:15 p.m., Wednesday, March 3, 2021.

Ayes: Swade, Arenella, Paul-Emile, Cuevas, Pabon, Kulis-Kearns Valeriano, and Mounce
MOTION TO HAVE STUDENT #106918 PLACED IN AN ALTERNATIVE SCHOOL WITH A TWO YEAR EXPULSION FROM THE BERWYN NORTH SCHOOL DISTRICT ENDING AT THE END OF THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR. Member Arenella moved and was seconded by Member Cuevas that the Board approve the Motion to have student #106918 placed in an alternative school with a two year expulsion from Berwyn North School District ending at the end of the 2021-2022 School Year.
