The Village Board of the Village of Bellwood will conduct a meeting of the Village Board at 6:00 p.m. in the Village Board Room at 3200 Washington Boulevard, Bellwood, IL 60104-1984 for the purposes of considering the following agenda:

a Public Works – Trustee Ciavattone, Chairman; Trustee Delgado, Member, 

i Departmental Report,

ii Item D - The resolution provides for assurances to the State of Illinois in lieu of a surety bond allowing for work to be performed on state thoroughfares located within the Village,

iii Item C - The attached agreement provides for engineering services for the St. Charles Road street improvement project between 25th Avenue and Mannheim Road,

iv Item F - The Agreement provides for the approval of a Local Agency Agreement with IDOT for street improvements on and along St. Charles Road between 25th Avenue and Mannheim Road and allocating the Village’s portion of the funding for said project,

ii Item I - The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing regarding Petitioner’s request for zoning relief and has made a recommendation pertaining to Petitioner’s request for the development of 4901 St. Charles Road and related subdivision of the property into two residential lots,

iii Item L - The proposed vacation was previously considered and approved by the Village Board, however, the plat of vacation was not filed after that Developer failed to finalize the project, the current Developer also requires the vacation of the right-of-way described herein to assist in the development of the adjacent properties, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing and entertained public comment regarding the development which included the proposed vacation of the alley described in the Plat of Vacation

iv Item M - The Village has successfully developed several residential homes throughout the Village and is interested in continuing the program to meet the demand for larger homes, the resolution provides for the approval of the agreements to construct tow single family homes on the real estate referenced herein,

ii Item E - The Village annually engages a company to perform grass cutting and landscape maintenance in support of various village programs including but not limited to the senior grass cutting program,

iii Item J - The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing regarding Petitioner’s request for zoning relief and has made a recommendation pertaining to Petitioner’s request for the development of property commonly referred to as 1040 25th Avenue for the use as an automobile service station,

iv Item K - The Zoning Board of Appeals conducted a public hearing regarding Petitioner’s request for zoning relief and as a result of which has made a recommendation pertaining to Petitioner’s request for the use of off-site parking,

d Administration – Trustee Robinson, Chairman; Trustee Ciavattone, Member, 

i Departmental Report,

ii Item H - Employee filed two claims before the Illinois Industrial Commission seeking recovery for benefits, losses and damages relating to an alleged injury suffered during the course of employment, the parties by and through counsel have reached an amicable resolution of the matter in the amount of $5,929.80 for 18 WC 021306 and $47,438.40 for 18 WC 021307,

ii Item G - The settlement provides for the resolution of pending litigation as recommended by special counsel,

iv Item A - The Village on an annual basis adopts an appropriation ordinance providing for the appropriations of funds for the calendar year, it should be noted that the village staff once again proposes a balanced budget for the calendar year 2021,

v Item B - The ordinance authorizes the village to refinance and restructure long-term preexisting debt that arouse out of bonds issued between 2005 and 2009 and will now provide the Village with a significant savings over the life of the bond issue based on a reduction in the interest rates,
