Gottlieb Memorial Hospital issued the following announcement on Mar. 19.
Loyola University Medical Center is now the first in the Chicago area and only the fourth hospital in the state to receive the AORN Go Clear Award – Gold Recognition Level!
The Go Clear Award program is a recognition-based program to ensure a smoke-free surgical environment (smoke is generated from laser devices and electrical surgical units) that protects patients and colleagues in operating rooms.
To achieve the Gold recognition level in this program, an institution must meet at least 90% compliance and Loyola University Medical Center is at 95% compliance.
