Village of Franklin Park Fire & Police Commission Met Dec 7.

CaIl to order: The meeting for the Fire & Police Commission was called to order by CommissionerMaritza Souchet at 6:00 pm.
Roll CalI / Quorum: Present is Commissioner lli4antza Souchet, Commissioner Guillermo Riosand Secretary Margarita Whaley. Also in attendance were Director of Police Mike Witz and Fire Chief Bill Brehm. Commissioner Herrera arrived at 6:08.
Approval of Minutes: A motion to approve the November 2,2020 meeting minutes was madeby Commissioner Souchet with a second by Commissioner Rios. Motion passed. Motion to approve the special meeting minutes of November 16,2020by Commissioner Souchet, with asecond by Commissioner Rios. Motion passed.
Communications:
Chief Brehm: Just waiting on backgrounds, once approved can go for poly & psych. Approval from mayor to hire 2. Promotional assessments this upcoming Thursday & Friday andwill have list up by December 31"
Director Witz: Waiting on final testing of candidates moving forward. Need to getgoing due to Power Test coming up in 2 weeks. Need to have promotion discussion. Commissioner Souchet made a motion to move forward with hiring process of law candidatespending their poly tests, second by Commission Rios. Commission came out of executivesession at 6:14.
Commissioner Souchet made motion to promote Officer Russell Klug to Sergeant, effective assoon as possible.
