OAK PARK-RIVER FOREST CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: BAH Humbug! A Virtual Holiday Business After Hours

Christmasdecor

Oak Park-River Forest Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Nov. 27.

Welcome to BAH Humbug!, the virtual 2020 edition of our annual holiday party! Join us on Zoom to connect with other members for an hour of online fun. All members and non-members are welcomed. (Members are free, $10 for nonmembers.)

Our December Business After Hours (BAH) will be hosted by Zoom rather than an elegant historic building, because it's 2020! Just register and you'll receive the Zoom link in a confirmation email.

While in most years our host or sponsors provide food and drink for this annual occasion, this year we'll have to leave it to you to arrange your own. But our member businesses stand by ready to help! Just use our business directory at oprfchamber.org/list to find yourself a source of local brews, elegant wines, tasty appetizers, takeout entrees, or scrumptious desserts!

Then expect some fun! We're putting together an hour of fun and games, plus a traditional thing or two like our monthly raffle, to close out 2020 on a good note.

If you can, please dress for a party! Specifically, we're going with holiday sweaters and ridiculous hats, with prizes for the most outstanding examples. If you don't have such things, feel free to go classy instead - for this occasion, business casual will not be nearly so appropriate as white tie or pearls, Rudolph sweaters with light-up noses, a kippah embroidered with dreidels, that tiara Harry Winston once made you, or pajamas that sing "Frosty the Snowman."

The Grinch may have stolen a good bit of 2020, but BAH Humbug!, we're going to have fun this evening! Please join us!
