Village of Broadview President and Board of Trustees met Oct. 5.

I. CALL TO ORDER
The Regular Board Meeting of Monday, October 5, 2020 was called to order by Mayor Thompson at 7:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers at 2350 South 25th Avenue, Broadview, IL 60155.

There being a quorum the meeting was called to order.

Discussion: Mayor Thompson and Commissioner Upshaw spoke about the incoming business. The Business owner Ms. Jenkins gave details about the new business. Trustee Horne had questions.

Discussion: Chief Kenny gave brief details.

IX. APPLICATION (S) FOR THE AUTHORITY TO EXPEND FUNDS: NONE
X. VILLAGE CLERK Kevin McGrier
• Clerk McGrier thanks all residents, volunteers and participants with regards to the 2020 Census.
• Clerk mentioned being the recipient of an award for involvement and overseeing the 2020 Census activities for the Village of Broadview.
XI. VILLAGE PRESIDENT Katrina Thompson
• Mayor Thompson reminds residents that enumerators are out knocking on doors of people who haven’t taken the Census.
• Mayor Thompson informs that lead home inspections by Urban Efficiencies are being offered to community of Broadview. (FREE)
• Mayor Thompson recommends that everyone participating in Halloween this year follow social distancing.
• Mayor Thompson states that the Village will pass out candy from 2-3 PM at Village Hall.
• Mayor Thompson says that if you are not participating in Halloween keep porch light off.
• Mayor Thompson mentions the Senior Housing Project as it begins construction. Also mentioned that certain Trustees voted on the original agreement for the ground lease
