City of Northlake issued the following announcement on Nov. 6.
The City of Northlake received a grant in the amount of $352,580 from the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District (MWRD) for the construction of a permeable paver parking lot at Northlake City Centre on the corner of Wolf Road and Doyle Road.
The City received six bids for this work and awarded the work to A Lamp Construction who was the low bidder at $514,275.25.
Permeable pavers allow storm water to soak into the ground rather than running off of hard surfaces and contributing to flooding issues and placing additional burdens on storm water management.
The City has recently completed 2 permeable paver parking lots at Centerpoint Preserves which are functioning as designed.
The work will be completed by November.
